Plateaus, bad weeks, and the restart

Progress looks like stairs, not a slide. A plateau is normal. The only real failure is turning one bad day into a bad month.

The full lesson

Weight loss, muscle gain and fitness all move in steps: progress, a flat stretch, a small bump, progress. A plateau of 2–4 weeks is normal and often just water. The dangerous moment is not the plateau; it is the story you tell yourself about it.

One rough meal is a meal. One missed week is a week. If you get a flat tire, you do not slash the other three. Use your Minimum Viable Day, and restart tomorrow. We count restarts as wins — the Comeback badge exists for exactly this, and it predicts long-term success better than any streak.

Remember

  • Plateaus are normal.
  • Restarts count.
Try this: If this week was rough, log one minimum day today. That is the whole assignment.
